i got myself a tr-5 hrairoo and im done painting it. My question is can i possibly attach the sturm booster of the original gaplant to the back of the hrairoo even w/o the hrududu? Because if not, i will cancel my plans on buying gaplant. i only need its booster though.

I have the Hrairoo as well. I don't have the original Gaplant, but looking at the back of my Hrairoo, it doesn't look like it's been changed since the original kit, and the booster most likely will fit. You might try the forum at http://www.fichtenfoo.com/. Someone there may have both kits.

This is the 1/144th Scale Hrududu kit released as a special promotional kit with Dengeki Hobby as part of their Advance of Zeta kit promotions. After the release and success of the HGUC Hazel Custom and HGUC Advanced Hazel, Dengeki Hobby released this special set to upgrade those kits. Alone, this unit is known as the Hrududu. Applied to the Hazel, its known as the Hazel-Rah and Hazel-Rah Second Form. These kits enhance the interchangeability of the already versatile HGUC Hazel Kits. Here I will outline the Pro's and Con's of this upgrade kit:

PRO'S:
AoZ is all about Options for the Hazel and this kit only adds to the different variants and possibilities you can have with your HGUC Hazel kits. They can be used on either the normal or weapon latch backpack on either the Advanced Hazel or Hazel Custom. They can also latch into the weapons latch on either kit. The long blade rifle enhancements fit perfectly over the existing Hazel gun. Acquiring two of these kits can get you to make the \”Hazel-Rah Second Form\”. They are molded crisply and have great details, even for a \”NG\” kit. They can also mount the Sturm Booster from the HGUC Gaplant kit, which makes for one very scary looking Hazel!

CON'S:
The kit is unfortunately molded in all white. Painting is a MUST if you want it to look right. There are no PVC joint parts for this… only plastic on plastic connections. This means that joints can get very loose very easily. Too much movement of the joints will weaken the joints. Also, since its just a NG Kit, the claw that one of the pods has cannot extend, which is a bummer. Just painting it would look nice, but it would take a good modeler to make it on-par with the HGUC Hazels. Also, if you purchase this upgrade kit without the magazine, you'll need instructions. The instructions were on the inside of the Magazine it came with. Luckily if you're reading this from the TTT Arc, you've got resources. Instructions are included below.

Overall:
This is a great enhancement to your Hazel and even better if you have two. However, it takes an experienced modeler to get these to really be effective. Be careful of the joints and remember its only a NG kit until you make it better! Still, its just another option for your Hazel, and who could go wrong with that?

These are pretty hard to find. In the next couple of months Dengeki Hobby Magazine will be releasing a special Hazel Custom kit, molded in dark blue, and including a Hrududu and a Primrose kit, both molded in dark blue.
check here pics at the bottom of the page. It's not clear to me how these kits will be made available, but there's a good chance there will be quite a few available on ebay and yahoo auctions.
