This one is for the old schoolers. Just straight up Zeon Metal.

The core is Gundam Ultimate Operation figures. Johnny Ridden’s High Mobility Zaku II, Garma Zabi’s Zaku II, Zaku II ver.2, Zaku II, and Zaku I.

I decided to go with a folded H&L-SB25K/280mmA-P Zaku Bazooka, Type 5 Heat Hawk, and a MMP-78/ 120mm Machine Gun as armament.

I like the rear mount here on the Bazooka quite a bit.

The slide scraps on the bottom of the feet are acheived by using a hard flat brush head and a “dry brush” technique. Pick your edge, apply slight pressure increasing as you pull and releasing as you end your “Slide”.

The raised details of Garma Zabi’s Zaku needed to be shaved off and some ankle detail added.

The knee articulation is by way of Front Mission 3 mecha by Sqauresoft.

The stressing details such as the scaped metal showing through are always the last deatails I add. A very fine short brush is used to trace edges, corners, and points. I pick areas that might get the most contact and highlight them with soft perpendicular strokes.

Great work as always! However, this is an F2… but I’m not seeing the distinctive F2 Torso. Granted there aren’t any F2 parts used in this kit, but thats just usually how I identify an F2 Type.
Nice drybrushing too. Its a good color for that Zeek Freak too!

Well ‘Zook, I think you may have me there. The rest is right, I should have used the UO Zaku II torso and modified its hatch plate. This seemed like a good solution because of the T-shaped hatch plate but it does not extend over the chest armor plates and those plates don’t have the shelf like on the UO Zaku II. I felt this chest looked more impressive.
