MS-09R Rick Dom Stutzer Recovery Unit - Zeon Remnant

The Dom Stutzer Recovery Unit is the extension of the Stutzer mount into a multi purpose element capable of fulfilling an amazing array of mission requirements. This concept evolution nullifies many of the limitations of a Mobile Suits original design purpose and allows for roles outside of typical restrictions.

Although the Recovery Unit is displayed here on an MS-09R Rick Dom this system has integration capability with all Zeonic MS currently in service.

The integration to the MS frame can best be described as a modular methodology. This is typified by universal specifications for all aspects of design which includes controls systems, power regulation and delivery, and mounts and connections.

In part due to the size of this unit defense is a priority. The shoulder mounts allow for an array of both offensive and defensive missile types.

Despite this units amount of equipment a fairly compact profile has been achieved.

Rearward facing sensors located center and upper right on the Booster pack provide additional detection and observational capabilities.

By design both hand manipulators retain freedom of range and can accept various weapon configurations.

The rear Booster Pods provide ample maneuverability and propulsion.

The Booster Pods along with the Shoulder and Chest Mounts can be jettisoned simultaneously or individually as is required to maintain MS integrity or for evasive purposes.

The Heat Auger is a variation of the Heat Hawk technology and easily maintained with existing surplus.

A view of the deployed Manipulator Arm.

The Crane includes multiple Hard Point connections capable of handling loads of significant inertial mass.

Cutting and welding are constant requirements in battlefield salvage and recovery, as well with constructive purposes. This dexterous arm provides precision while the Heat Saber can be removed and wielded effectively for larger jobs.

This captured GM Ball has been reconfigured as a Servitor Unit to add to mission capabilities and extend the effectiveness of the Recovery Unit.

In the blackness of space illumination can take many forms including Infra-Red Pulse Radar or visible spectrum wattage.

Designed for extend use, fuel and coolant are high priority.

In summation the primary role of this deployment configuration is the recovery of MS and MS resources.

The Secondary role of large scale construction in a vacuum is also highly regarded by The Remnants. The need to establish or rebuild bases of operation, production, and supply are vital to victory.

With the highly adaptable design established by the Stutzer configuration even the complete refit of a Zeon light cruiser, such as the Musai, could be achieved resources permitting.

In the face of dwindling resources of all types the Stutzer configuration may be the only hope for Zeon’s survival against the Titans.

I like the setup quite a bit. Besides, you can’t go wrong with a Dom. The oversize look of the Dom lends itself to the premise well. If I may make one suggestion, I think some well worn, black “construction/caution” stripes over the yellow paint would add alot to this figure. Overall, great job! ^^

Thanks for the comment. If you go to the “Build” post previous to this one you will see why I chose this color scheme. I like the idea of the stripes, maybe on the next one.

Wow that looks great. The stutzer add on is quite nice and that shade of yellow (as well as the white on the rear pods) is very fitting for a recovery unit.
