I would first like to thank Ninjascience for asking me to participate in what I consider the definitive fan site for the AoZ series. I have been conceptualizing a series of Zeon Remnants for some time now, relying on this site as source material and inspiration.
I am somewhat of a Zeon Zealot, these designs dominate my current hobby activities and imagination. The end of WW2 has always been an attraction to me and I believe the German military complex has provided great inspiration to the designers of Zeon mecha. Just imagine a Zaku pumping out huge clouds of diesel fumes and the bone crushing fury of blitzkrieg and you will understand how I envision this mecha. I began with a single Zaku II and the aesthetic formed a permanent niche in my psyche.
This will be a continuing series of posts profiling one unit at a time, commenting on my process and execution of design. I am very excited to share these designs with this community and see your works as well.
