Profile
A mass production machine created exclusively for the Titans organization formed after the Delaz Conflict. Although it was a mass production type, it was equipped with the latest technology of its time, and served as the base for the Hazel. However, due to limitations in its use of beam rifles and other reasons, by the time of the Gryps Conflict it has already become outdated and most of these machines have been withdrawn from the front lines.
Konpeitoh Forces Version: The units which make up the Titans can be divided into two major categories. In one category are the regular Titans units comprised of Earthnoid officers, and in the other, temporary Titans units made up of ordinary Federation Forces conscripted according to the scale and requirements of the operation. This GM Quel belongs to one of the latter, and was assigned to an ordinary unit from the Konpeitoh forces when it was conscripted by the Titans. When ordinary units are conscripted into the Titans, they normally continue using their existing machines, but on this occasion the pilots have been supplied with the GM Quel used by regular Titans units in order to raise the “quality” of the overall force. However, because the Titans leadership is uncomfortable with ordinary soldiers using black machines, the mobile suits have been painted in red and white Federation colors.
Technical Notes
Because the Konpeitoh forces version is intended for use under the command of the Titans Test Team, it is equipped with the same beam rifle and energy pack holders.
