Profile

In the early stages of the aerial combat unit development project, the plan was to equip the Icarus Unit with aerodynamic wing units, achieving flight through a combination of thruster power and lift. However, in mobile suit form its aerodynamic characteristics were extremely poor, and it was determined that it would be unable to move freely in three dimensions. Thus the unit’s specifications were changed to the current concept of achieving flight through high thrust.
