Profile

The TR-6 “Woundwort” was developed as a compilation of the TR series. While the TR series are essentially improved versions of the mobile suit or mobile armor on which they are based, the TR-6 “Woundwort” is the first TR machine to use a completely new design. This machine fully incorporates the cutting-edge mobile suit technology obtained from the TR-1, and its full potential is still unknown. Developed with the basic concept of “transforming to fight in any area,” it is designed to display high performance in space, on land, in the air, and in all major combat areas required for a mobile suit or mobile armor. Like the rest of the TR series, its functionality can be extended with optional equipment, and this machine itself is the base mobile suit with optional equipment attached.

Mobile Suit Form: The mobile suit form of the TR-6 “Woundwort.” This form is intended mainly for land warfare and is suitable for melee and close combat. Due to the small soles of its feet, it is poorly suited for walking, and its main means of movement is hovering.

Intermediate Form: This form occupies a position halfway between mobile armor and mobile suit. It’s a highly versatile form which balances mobility and maneuverability.

Mobile Armor Form: The mobile armor form of the TR-6 “Woundwort.” Although the emphasis of this form is on atmospheric flight, it can also function in space.

EWAC Equipment: The TR-6 can be equipped with a sensor radome for early warning. The sensor radome is installed in place of the booster pod, and the TR-6’s search capabilities are dramatically increased as a result.

Technical Notes

In this configuration the base mobile suit is equipped with a head cover, enhancement parts on its shoulders, and attitude control binders attached to its chest. The head cover is made up of multiple parts connected to the drum frame via a frame arm that allows free movement. The shoulder units house nuclear thermal jet engines and spread beam guns, and also serve as defensive equipment to protect the base mobile suit.

In mobile suit form, part of the shoulder unit can be detached as a shield, and the attitude control binders join to cover the chest and sub arm unit.

The mobile armor form has a disc shape closely resembling the Asshimar. This shape improves its aerodynamic characteristics during atmospheric flight. In this form, the sub arm can be deployed from the underside of the machine to hold a beam rifle or other weapons.

Intermediate Form

The TR-6 has an intermediate form which still has a very disk-like shape, but the hands and feet are extended. You can see the main sensor in the front, under which is a Gundam like head. The TR-6 has legs which feature very unconventional feet. The walking ability of the legs is very limited, but the TR-6 is designed to hover during ground based combat. The head of the TR-6 is mostly obscured by a large sensor unit, but it seems to be similar to the Hazel head, complete with the traditional Gundam V-fin. It may also have head mounted vulcan guns.

Mobile Suit Form

In Mobile Suit form, the TR-6 seems to be mostly armor. Parts of the side armor from MA form become an arm mounted shield, the head is nestled deep down in the torso.

The TR-6 is likely built with extreme adaptability in mind as it’s core frame is built around a drum frame, a piece of equipment that has served as the basis for many other TTT designs like the Keehar and Fiver. We have already seen that it can fitted with an EWAC unit and we will likely see more variations before the end of the series.

The thumbnails on this page link to the largest images I have. I have yet to get my hands on the magazine myself. After that I'll be posting higher res versions.

That's the real name. As the magazine released TR-6 information, the names changed I haven't updated this page to reflect that.
