This is the Gundam FIX Figuration #0005, FA-010A Full Armor Double Zeta seen in the photonovel Gundam Sentinel. Like most of its early GFF brothers, it lacks some technical figure engineering that could really make it an awesome GFF, but it achieves its display purpose quite well. Here, I’ll illustrate its high and low points.

Head: The Head detailing is insane here. Careful that you don’t get one with a bent V Fin, as it took me awhile to correct this. The head isn’t on a swivel peg like most model kits are on. It can only look side to side with limited motion.

Torso: The torso’s waist cannot move but, again, detailing is off the wall. The chest can equip the white armor which also has removeable panels to reveal the missiles in the armor. On this chest armor, there is a number. Bandai released 3 different numbers for the FAZZ GFF. Though I cannot remember what the other two were, the one I own is #4. The Lower torso can also equip the white armor, but not quite as well as the chest armor fit. This lower set has problems attaching to the pelvic armor and the cables that go around the waist to connect to the backpack don’t stay in very well. It falls off when I move it. The side skirt armor attachments fit very well.

Arms: The arms have a Limited range of motionbut can also equip the white armor. The shoulder armor slides on the side quite well and the forearm armor is very sturdy and tight when applied. There is one optional hand, the trigger hand, that I just keep in all the time. a FAZZ without the massive gun I will explain later is just not a FAZZ to me. The arms also have this strange construction on the panel that goes under the arm. For some reason, it can open to reveal… nothing. I’m not quite sure why this part of the arm can move.

Legs: The legs are sharp in design both with and without the armor. The white armor can attach very well and, aside from the forearm armor and side skirt armor, is the sturdiest armor attachment on thie FIX. They don’t have much knee action or ankle movement, but the upper part of the leg can twist to give it a “Katokified” look to its pose.

Backpack: The backpack on this thing is pretty cool. One of the boosters is a normal ZZ booster while the other can hold the gigantic gun over the shoulder. It can still be switched out for a normal booster look, but like I said before, it just isn’t a FAZZ without that gun! The Backpack links into the front white armor attachment very loosely, but its firm enough on the back that it won’t fall off.

Accessories: The Mega cannon definetly makes this FIX amazing. Its “belt fed” somehow and attaches at the backpack. It is higly detailed, right down to the collapseable trigger and trigger cover. It also can sport a dual beam rifle on the outer arm when the FA configuration is equipped. The nice thing about that is that the armor it attaches to can be equipped on either arm. To reproduce this look, you can equip the rifle armor and the rifle underneath the cannon. It looks quite nice. There is also a clear stand for the gun but since this is an older FIX, theres no white stand to go with it.

I haven’t bought the new ZZ FIX, but I hear its better in terms of its mobeability and its armor. However, if its the Sentinel colors you’re looking for, this FAZZ is a perfect addition to your collection. Theres alot of Sentinel MS in the GFF lineup. The FAZZ looks great next to my collection of GFF Sentinel MS, and it can do the same for yours. If you’re looking for the poseabiltiy and the really well engineered parts that make the GFF lineup what it is today, this isn’t your choice. Detail takes the gold on this one, but its no-where near the engineering of newer GFFs.
