Ahh, yes. The cannon fodder extraordinaire. Incidentally, it was made BEFORE the Gundam HGUC, but despite that, it's not bad.

Head: About as simple as you get. Two parts for the head, one for the visor. Not that the original design is that complex anyway. You'll need to paint the vulcans.

Torso: Pretty sturdy, and the only thing that really needs painting are the yello chest vents, since the cockpit area has a sticker for it that actually works rather well (unlike most stickers on gunpla)

Backpack: One big chunk, with two thruster nozzles and the beam saber hilt. The backpack needs some painting (the gray rectangular area) and the beam saber hilt is kinda floppy if you don't put it in just right, though.

Arms: These are pretty nice, actually. The left arm has a 'free' hand which is good for posing, or it can have an 'open' hand to hold the shield. The right one has an open hand as well, and a trigger hand for the beam spray gun. The shoulder armor slides onto pegs from the torso and the polycaps on the arms slide into those pegs. It's kind of a tight fit into the shoulder armor, but it's nice and secure once it's there. A decent amount of poseability, too~

Legs: They're pretty plain and straightforward as far as legs go, and how far the knee bends leaves a bit to be desired. Additionally, the mechanicsbetween the feet and ankles are molded with the leg itself, so you'll need to paint those.

Weapons and Accessories: Not a whole lot here, but the GM didn't use much in MSG either, so not much to complain about. The beam spray gun looks a lot better than it originally did, and has some good detail and fits perfectly into the trigger hand, very nice. It has a beam saber too, but it's not a pink blade that attaches to the hilt from the backpack; it's one of those crappy \”molded-in-the-main-MS-color\” sabers that you may remember from some older kits. I had to subtract for this since most HGUCs have it, even the Gundam which borrowed from this kit had them. The shield is pretty much the same thing you saw Amuro lug around; the big shield with the yellow cross is rendered very well, and needs no real painting unless you wanna detail the back of it.

Overall: The crappy beam saber and horrible coloring really detract from an otherwise good kit. The kit isn't molded in white and red as it should be; it's that horrendous puke-green that gunpla fans have learned to hate. So if you want yours to be in the right colors (like on this HGUC's box, for instace…. >_>) you'll need to do somewhitewashing. But what's here (colors aside) is done well, and although posing is a little restricted with the legs, it can still do some good poses. All in all, I'd say it's worth it if you're a fan of MSG or GMs. And it's a great beginner suit too, since it's VERY simple. Though if you want more of a challenge, or something that can pose more smoothly, I'd say look towards the newer Powered GM kit.
