This famed MS of the 0083 timeline has gathered many fans to its unique purpose and design. Its intricately designed tail binder system and delicate manipulator arms make this a very disticntive Mobile Suit. When I heard it was betting its own HGUC kit, I was surprised because of the small details that make up this MS, but had high hopes for it anyways. When I got the kit, without the massive HGUC Dendrobium Orchis, I was impressed with its designing and looks. The tail binder system looked magnificient and the manipulators, although a pain to build, were astounding. I was amazed how much Bandai was able to put into this kit. After awhile, those delicate manipulator arms started to fail. The manipulator arms themselves stayed together, but they became weaker with every movement. In addition, the bicep portion of the arm became loose and th entire arm from the elbow down would continually fall out. In addition, the little \”pinchers\” on the manipulator arms broke at the joint. The rest of the kit has reimained sturdy, but I have had to make serious adjustments to the upper arm. This problem can be solved by taking a heated knife and pressing down slightly on the peg that connects into the upper arm. The Manipulator \”pinchers\” can't really be fixed, as they are too small to hold together after a repair. I eventually had to glue them together in the closed position.
All in all, the arm units are a dissapointment. With the entire arm units falling off at the elbow, this kit's overall magnificence is defeated. With adjustments, it has potential, but as a kit by itself, it should be built and left alone (to avoid breaking it). If you have this kit for the bigger picture (Dendrobium Orchis), take special care of the arm units, as they are essential to the overall kit.
P.S: Its better than 2 stars if you can just fix the arm units. This final grade is based off the kit itself without modifications.
