This is the HGUC RX-121-2 Hazel II released in October of 2006. It is the third RX-121 unit in the HGUC lineup, but shares the least amount of parts with the other 2 units. However, all the parts are still compatable, and the Hazel II comes with some extra parts if you don’t own the other two kits.

The only exact parts that are shared with this Hazel II and the other two Hazel kits is its face, the front part of the helmet, the torso (excluding the cockpit armor and hatch), the arms, hands, torso/leg connection and the upper legs as well as some other Hazel Weapon Accessories.

When I first built the Hazel II kit, I actually took my Advanced Hazel and swapped the parts out to see how different the kits are. Between the Hazel II and the Advanced Hazel, you get every part option available, excluding the DHM special release parts.

~Head: The head is the same in construction as the other two Hazels, but has a different back half that includes an antennae. The crest can also be switched from the Hazel II’s crest to the Advanced Hazel and Hazel Custom array.

~Hazel: The cockpit armor and hatch on this guy are different, but share the same connection as the other two kits. It features the double jointed shoulder movement as well as the multi-launchers. The Skirt armor is also different and is molded in gunmetal as opposed to the Titans blue that the Advanced Hazel has. The skirt armor on the front can be independant if the builder simply cuts the connection between the two plates in half. (I do this on almost every kit) Technically, you could use this torso with the Hazel Custom and re-create the original RX-121-1 Hazel.

~Backpack: The Tri-Booster (or ‘Try booster’ as they call it in the manual) is pretty sweet. Though it can cause weight distribution issues, its also long enough that it can hold up the Hazel II. All 3 boosters are. The backpack also has a beam saber slot.

~Arms/Hands- The arms are identical to those of the other two kits. They are double jointed at the elbow and have a peg for a shield connection. The hands are also identical. They include the right trigger, right saber, and left open palm hands.

~Legs: The legs have the same connections as the other two kits, but the design of the middle leg and the ankle armor is that of the GM Quel. The Knee and the ankle are double jointed and can really add to a pose.

~Weapons: The weapons for this include the GM Rifle, Combat Shield, Beam Saber, Shield Booster (same colors as the Advanced Hazel’s) and a Hazel rifle. There are also two spare Hazel Rifle magazines that can be stored on the hip armor.

~Overall: This kit is definetly another great addition to AoZ Gunpla and can really make for some interesting combinations between the AoZ Hazel Kits. It looks great, handles just like the other two, and even gives you some ‘toys’ to use with your other Hazel kits too! As a owner of all 3 kits, Its nice having a 3 Hazel team to display. Make sure you have some Zeonic MS or AEUG MS that these guys can shoot at though!
